VMS - server management

Virtual Managed Servers are for customers, that needs something more, than shared webhosting and Managed server (so called dedicated server) will not be used enough. It's also for customers that don't need or don't want to have complete administration of server in their own hands. Setting of whole server is managed by our experienced administrators.

VMS offers benefits of Managed server, for example server performance is give by chosen package and is reserved directly to our customer, thanks to this VMS cannot be influenced by servers of other customers, how it can be on shared hosting. It has similiar functionality as physical Managed server but it's price is much cheaper. All VMS are stored on highly accessable HyperV-Cluster (for VMS - Windows), where data itself are stored on multinod External data Storage.

Our Customer center replaces applications for server management as is Plesk or cPanel, users that wants this management applications can use VPS solution. Using control panel you can manage on VMS unlimited number of virtual servers, mailboxes and databases.

How to add virtual server?

On VMS server you can create unlimited number of virtual servers. To every server you assign specific disk quota, maximum quota depends on chosen VMS package

Number of databases on VMS is unlimited, limited is their size. MySQL are created with 1 GB space, Microsoft SQL with 500 MB. Administration of databases itself is the same as it is at shared hosting.

Traffic statistics of VMS

The most important information about server usage is written to graphs, which can be found in control panel.

Accordingly to these statistics you can recognize, if the VMS package in use is sufficient, or can show if some of the website aplications are poorly optimized.

  1. Log in to Control panel.
  2. In menu choose option VMS (Services / Webhosting and servers / VMS).
  3. In VMS overview in option with the name of server click on Traffic statistics (opposite arrows).

Traffic on the network card: monitors data flow rate
Inode-count: number of created files and folders on server
The length of wait queue: measures the speed of execution of all processes
Mail-queue: number of executed e-mails by server
Memory2: monitors usage of memory (RAM)
Mysql_stats: calculates the speed and the number of database transactions on server (MySQL)
Nginx-requests: requests the server itself handles
Proc-stat: statistic of completed processes from start of the server
    Processor usage: CPU server usage
Webhits3: action created by website visitor

  5. Note: Graphs describe usage of the whole server, not individual virtual servers.
